Sign-up sheets the fashion show and other upcoming events will be available.

New Business

As a remembrance of all the contributions to PG & the PGICA made by Anne Moeller, the Board unanimously voted to meet with local nurseries to determine the best type of bush to plant in her name. More discussion will be had as to where it will be planted. We also discussed the possibility of the Floridians donating a plaque in Anne’s name and where it can be placed. We will ask Anne’s sister, Mary Jollett, if she is in agreement with our ideas.

Carol Nieberline and Rebecca Diemer from The Newcomers came to discuss their ideas for Fund Raisers in which they would like the Floridians participation.  One of their ideas is to have a silent auction style show, with hopes of getting local stores to model their clothes. The anticipated date for the Style Show is February 19, 2010.

Judy stated our policies are for local charities and that we would like to be doing these kinds of things with the Newcomers.  We will get back to Carol & Rebecca after the Board discusses this request.

Sandra motioned that the Floridians offer our support in planning a benefit/charity event with the Newcomers. Linda S. seconded the motion.  The motion was approved.

The Board needs to have a Nominating Committee in place by summer to identify possibilities for the 2010 Board and the Chairperson. Sandra and Brenda have offered to be on the Committee. The new Board possibilities will be called in August.  Brenda has offered to write an E-mail to the membership. Judy will review the E-mail prior to sending.

The meeting was adjourned at 10.50AM
