The Bocce Courts will cost anywhere from $30,000-$40,000 as currently planned.

There is some talk that the Civic Assoc. wants to mandate club contributions ranging from $500 to $2,000.

The PGICA General Meeting will be on Nov. 3. The Floridians participated in the Carnival of Clubs last year so decline for this year.

New Business

The October General Meeting falls on Columbus Day this year. It was proposed that the theme of the annual pot luck be, “A Taste of Floridians, Italian Style”. Lorraine will chair this event and oversee the menu.

Jan will contact the Newcomers and make sure that the eligible members coming to Floridians are invited to this event. Jan will also try to get a list of the potential Floridians coming from Newcomers.

The Holiday Party is planned for Dec. 8. Blue Bayou will provide music and the caterer is Cheffy. It was suggested that the club subsidize $10 per person and offer tickets for the price of $30. per person.

The committee for the Holiday Party includes the: McGinnis, Dorney, Berger, Modglin, Will and Fish.

Donations

Our donation of $200 to the wounded veterans has left $100 in the fund earmarked for donations. It was decided not to sponsor a team to play miniature golf to raise money for mammograms.

It was decided to hold that money for requests closer to the holiday period.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:45PM.

Respectfully submitted,
