Guidelines for 2010 Lunch Bunch and Food & Friends

These two activities are the major venues for members to get to know each other, so it is important that we handle them well.

In order for guests to have an opportunity to converse with all of the participants we have decided to limit these affairs to a maximum of twelve people including hosts. Members are not required to have parties of twelve. if their home can only accommodate six, eight, or ten people that is the number that will be assigned. The chairperson of these activities will respect the maximum number the host sets.

All communication between guests and hosts must be channeled through the chairpersons. Although hosts will contact guests to set menu choices, times and dates, no member should call a host and ask to be included. Members must contact the chairpersons to  sign up via emails, phone or sign up sheets at functions. hosts should also contact the chairperson before adding any guests to the party.

All guests are expected to host the activities they attend during the calendar year. If you attend Lunch Bunch and Food & Friends, you must host each of these activities once a year. Members who have attended three parties will become ineligibles until they sign up to host.

Hosts are allowed to schedule their party on days other than the second Wednesday or fourth Friday as long as the guests are able to attend.

The Lunch Bunch chairperson is Cynthia Cowdrey, ladyofpalmas@hotmail.com, 575-5671.

The Food & Friends chairpersons are Diane Lowy, lowy53@comcast.net, 347-8900 and Sharon Long, long1300@comcast.net, 347-8196.
