Mark Your Calendar for Upcoming
Events! “I’M LATE! I’M LATE, FOR A VERY
IMPORTANT DATE!” - Please, do NOT fall down the rabbit
hole and fail to get to our next membership meeting,
February 8, PGICA, 7 PM. The topic will be “Florida
Friendly Gardens” and your plants and lawn will insist that
YOU be there to hear the latest in maintenance for our
climes. Allison Park will lead us thru a Power Point
presentation to ease your gardening chores and inspire us to
try something “new” in floriculture. Cash in on watering
“tips” from the expert for the extremes of our winter and
summer months. You may be surprised! End the evening with
an ice cream social…our treat!
This month we will donate
the club portion of the 50/50 to the American Red
Cross Haitian Relief Fund.
“ROMEO, ROMEO! WHEREFORE ART THOU,
ROMEO?” - In this case, Romeo decided to take advantage
of “a day off”, while Juliet attended to the serious matter
of Ladies Lunch Bunch. Planned for February 10 at
noon, you need to contact Cynthia Cowdrey(575-5671) to
be included in small group “lunching” and fellowship. A
hostess will call you and invite you to bring a dish. Plan
on good food and a good time renewing friendships.
“TIPTOEING THRU THE TULIPS” -
(As in doing something romantic with your sweetie in this
auspicious Valentine season). In this case, we invite you
to join us to tiptoe merrily along the walkways of two
Historic Downtown homes, noted for their Florida Friendly
Gardens. Out & About has extended the February
meeting’s program to give you a first-hand,
up-close-and-personal introduction to interesting native
Florida gardens. This is a “free” excursion, narrated by
experienced gardeners. The date is February 16, 9:45
AM. Call Judy Denham(833-8945) to tell her you’ll meet
her at the Laishley Crab House parking lot to carpool. For
those interested, we’ll return there for a favorite
activity….LUNCH!
